Portraits
Standard sizes 1200 x 800mm or 900 x 600mm
Position: Full frontal, ¾ view or side profile. Head and shoulders
Colours: Please choose one of my artworks which colour palette you prefer.
Lighting: Lighting is of prime importance, as shadows show contours of the face, aiding in creating depth of emotion in an artwork.
Facial expression: Relaxed, comfortable and at ease, feeling themselves and pensive. It is best to look slightly past the camera lens.
Photography: I am able to take the photographs, however, an additional charge will be incurred.
My style: I work in Alla Prima – meaning that I paint quickly and spontaneously (even if a little calculated at the beginning).
Price for portraits from photographs: (A quote will be drawn up for each artwork. )
For larger portraits approx R20 000 (US$1500)
For smaller portraits approx R12 000 (US$880) excluding varnishing and delivery costs.
Price for sitting portraits: A quote will be drawn up after discussions.
Commissons for Scapes and Abstracts will be priced following a briefing from the client.
Payment: To begin the commission a 50% deposit is required prior to commencing. The final 50% is required on delivery.
Delivery: Delivery costs are not included. Transported rolled or stretched will influence costs.
